These courses, released in late 2025, contain our full, 12.0 hour, Judicial Council of Council approved, annual update for child custody professionals. Featuring a well-respected and expert line-up of speakers, learn the latest in the custody evaluation field from 2024 through the course's release. Legal and Judicial perspectives will help professionals understand another point of view, resist/refuse dynamics are covered, and a best practice booster is covered. Additionally, learn the latest about power dynamics and their influence on IPV, legal changes and safety challenges.

This bundle contains BOTH the 2025 Annual CCE Update and the 2025 Annual IPV Update - a total of 12 CEs of training!

What You Will Learn

By the end of the full training series, you will be able to:

(CCE) Evaluate key responsibilities in parenting plan evaluations and pinpoint frequent challenges that compromise clarity, neutrality, and utility to the court

(CCE) Analyze how to design reports that organize findings clearly and reflect a deliberate approach to hypothesis development and testing

(CCE) Analyze how best to incorporate feedback from work product reviews to refine their decision-making, enhance transparency, and reinforce best practices

(CCE) Describe how to construct thoughtful hypotheses in the evaluation process and use structured methods to assess competing explanations for family dynamics and behavior

(CCE) Connect the outcome of recent legal cases to expected changes in the day-to-day work of an evaluator

(CCE) Plan for and collect needed information for a handover to a therapist in resist/refuse cases

(CCE) Identify when a resist/refuse case has reached a dead end and therapy is no longer making any progress

Who is this bundle for:

Anyone can enroll in and learn from this series of courses. But this bundle is ideal for licensed Custody Evaluators/Parenting Plan Evaluators.

This training is approved for purpose by the Judicial Council of California, per California Rules of court 5.225. While many jurisdictions have similar requirements, we recommend that if you are in other jurisdictions that you double check with your licensing board if this training series will be accepted.
