The Job-Share Parenting Series:

Arguing, blaming, gaslightling, denying - If they acted this way in any other situation, they would be kicked out of the restaurant, banned from the library, or put on the no fly list. Yet when it happens between parents during a custody proceeding it is expected and allowed. How can we see through the nonsense and hold parents accountable? Learn a different, unique approach to evaluating parental behaviors.

We can't fire parents, but they can be demoted if they aren't doing their job right. This series looks at the evaluation of four parenting behaviors in the context of viewing parenting as a job-share:

Communication
Problem Solving
Problem Solving (This Course)
Conflict Resolution

These courses can be taken individually or as part of the larger series.

Each of these activities will be covered by a course in this series (see webinar dates above). Four areas of primary interest and responsibility of job-share parenting are identified: 1. Education, 2. Health well-being and safety, 3. Optional enrichment activities, and 4. Family. Best Interest factors will be identified that are relevant to these activities and interests.

Observing and Evaluating Parental Decision Making:

Do parents attack problems or do they attack each other?
When the problem is being solved, is the focus on fixing the issue or on assigning blame?
And what can you as an evaluator take from observing how problems are - or are not - solved?

This presentation focuses on problem-solving by post-separation parents. Learn about problem solving processes and tools. Identify areas of parental problem solving to observe and evaluate. Learn and obtain evaluative tools that can be used during evaluations. Study the problem-solving model "Three-Legged Stool":

Admit the problem
Commit to working on problem
Accept help for problem

This training is appropriate for both new and experienced CCEs who are
