EMDR
Michelle LeValley, Ph.D.
Dr. Michelle LeValley is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in California. A graduate from UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in psychology she went on to earn a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Looking to expand her experience across the U.S., Dr. LeValley completed her doctoral internship at San Antonio Health Sciences Center in Texas.
Dr. LeValley has a broad range of experience working with patients at inpatient, outpatient and residential levels. She has served as an instructor in the department of Social Work at both the graduate and undergraduate levels at the California State University of Fresno, as well as invited lecturer on treating first responder stress with EMDR. A certified EMDR therapist since 2011, Dr. LeValley’s EMDR work has spanned almost 20 years and includes years of work with severely mentally ill youth and adolescents, research using EMDR with a child and adolescent population, and consultation with licensed clinicians on the implementation of EMDR in their practice.
Dr. LeValley’s work with emergency personnel includes years of clinical work with the San Antonio police department, serving as an instructor at the SAPD academy, and working with Fresno County’s critical incident team. During her 15 years with Fresno County and over 20 years in private practice she has worked with Fresno Police, Sheriff, CHP, EMS and fire departments as a critical incident debriefer and conducting EMDR sessions with the first responder population.
Currently she is active in her independent psychology practice working with adolescents and adults, including an emphasis on EMDR trauma treatment.
